THINGS TO DO IN SIARGAO
Siargao is much more than just a surfing destination, it is also an inviting tropical island for families with kids. There are many smaller Islands around Siargao waiting to be visited and each of them have something different to offer, explore the many deserted white sand beaches, go snorkeling, see colorful Clown-fish and try to find one of the beautiful starfish for a picture. Chill out alone in the many beautiful hidden lagoons while watching stingless jellyfish and starfish, swim in the unique Magpupungko Pool which is only visible at low tide and explore stunning caves. Siargao is the Philippines surfing mecca and has many quality and world class surfing breaks on offer. The famous Cloud 9, Quicksilver, Tuason’s Point, Stimpy’s, Rock Island, Daku Reef, Cemetery, G1 and many more that can be found by exploring the islands coast. The north of the island offers some uncrowded waves such as Pacificos and Burgos. Most surfing breaks are accessible by land and a short boat ride can be easily organised with the locals when wanting to surf the outer reefs and islands.
A gigantic inland lagoon that is only accessible via a large cavern. The cavern, in turn, is only accessible during low tide. Enter into this quiet realm that could only be described as a fairy-tale land—tree-covered rocky islets, mysterious caves, odd rock formations, and the sound of birds and fruit bats echoing.

If your looking for expertise about diving and free diving Palaka Siargao Dive Center is the first international scuba diving on Siargao Island. In 2014, in partnership with Freediving Planet, Palaka Siargao Dive is now the first Official Freediving School offering the best quality in teaching AIDA freediving, from Beginner to Instructor level. There Centre is located, in General Luna, there speed boat equipped with GPS/sounder, radio, life jackets and cooler will bring you to the best dive sites in few minutes.
Beautiful enclosed lagoon with stingless jellyfish. It takes 1 hour by van to reach Del Carmen where the boats will take you to Caob Island thru beautiful mangroves. Sugba Lagoon is perfect for standup paddle boarding, snorkeling and swimming.

Best done from December until the end of March. During this time conditions are perfect for beginners. Advanced riders will love the flat water conditions for freestyle riding and the world class waves at the reef.
MAGPUPUNGKO ROCK POOLS
The emerald-colored Tidal Pools in the municipality of Pilar looks like infinity pools as the sea recedes with cliff jumping. These are of varying depth and are teeming with unique marine flora and fauna that have specifically adapted to the unique environment of these pools.
Whether you want to get down and dirty, watch streaming sports at the sports bar, karaoke fun with friends or just chill with a few relaxing drinks at the bar. Siargao has many nightlife options. The main bars being Offshore bar, Jungle Tattoo Disco, Rum Bar and Baile.
Tak-Tak falls has continual running water from the mountain and is good for swimming due to the cold water and you can also jump from the top of the mountain if you want.
EXPLORE THE ISLAND
Rent a motorbike and explore the beautiful island. See that magnificent coastline to the north, spend an entire day and do a complete lap of the island! Motorbike rentals can be organised through the Sunrise Villa reception.
The ideal season for fishing is March to May, when the big fish like the Marlin and Sailfish are most active. There are fish, that can be caught all year round, such as the Yellowfin Tuna, Mackerel, and Mahi-Mahi to name a few. You might want to catch the International Game Fishing Tournament that takes place in Siargao in April. A good thing to keep in mind is to check out the fish markets – this will give you a pretty good idea as to what most people have been catching recently.
